Betty Blue bed and breakfast is not just another place to sleep. We offer you the comfort of a hotel, the feeling of a luxury suite and the small scale and the hospitality of a bed and breakfast. The bed and breakfast is located in the heart of the historical center of Gouda and is easy to reach. We are just a small walk from the central station, so a visit to The Hague or Rotterdam is within reach. Your room covers a whole floor, has a private entry and is stylishly furnished with the most impressive bed and breakfast in mind. For us that means comfortable beds, soft towels, a completely equipped small kitchen, good coffee, a seperate seating area with a box to play your own music and free wifi. A stay includes includes Nespresso coffee and different kind of teas in the room. We do not serve breakfast. We are situated in the middle of the historic center of Gouda, surrounded by nice restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For the people who prefer to cook: there is a small, but fairly complete kitchen with refrigerator in the room.

Gouda windows Who walks into the ‘Sint Jan’ falls silent at the sight of the majestic space with the 72 world famous stained glass windows. The experience only gets stronger when you see the wonderful light invade through the 'Dutch Masters'. It is the beginning of an impressive discovery along biblical and historical scenes full of human emotions. Gouda cheese market The GOUDA CHEESE MARKET is a spectacular and historic scene, held every Thursday morning from 7 April to 25 August 2016 (accept on Ascension Day – 5 May). Farmers negotiate over the price with the traders in front of the Weighing House. The deal is still sealed with a handshake, as it has been for centuries. The cheeses are delivered to and from the market on wagonettes. Gouda by candlelight On december 16th Gouda by candlelight takes place. It is a day with many highlights. When it gets dark, there will be no lights, but only candles in the old city center. The highlight of the day takes place between 19.00 and 20.00 o clock on the marketsquare. The mayor will read the Christmas story, the lights on the gigantic tree will be lit and thousands of people will sing along with the Christmas carols.
