Everything. Gouda is a fun place to visit, especially exploring the surrounding areas by bike. The house was the perfect starting point for our daily adventures. It was only 10 minutes walking from the train station and the downtown historic area.

The cheese market was a great experience.

The cheese market was a great experience. We took a tour to learn more about Gouda cheese & enjoyed the information. The area around the market had a fun atmosphere & the locals were very friendly & helpful.

I went to school here for 3 years. Technical College.

I went to school here for 3 years. Technical College. (First year in Hoogeveen) . Always enjoyed visiting and love the ambiance and settings. Living and working in the USA now for over 32 years makes coming back here very special. It's still easy to get to downtown Gouda, I walked from my hotel, but the train station is at the edge of downtown. Great places to eat all around and lots of things to see and do. I walked around the market place and around the Sint Jan's Kerk (a beauty) . Of course I bought some Gouda cheese and Stroop wafels. Brought them home with me, although half of the stroopwafels did not make it all the way back to the hotel.

Gouda is much more relaxed than Amsterdam with plenty to do.

Gouda is much more relaxed than Amsterdam with plenty to do. It's centrally located and with good access to public transportation making it a great place to spend a few days in Gouda, then head out for day trips to Kuekenhof, Amsterdam, De Hague, or anywhere else your heart desires.

Really pretty city , lots of thing to see and do, restaurants are good and the beer is fantastic ! Town is ideally placed to visit many other places in the Netherlands as it is serviced by an excellent rail system – don’t even think about drinking into the town use the train .

it’s a wonderful small city. very clean and feels safe to walk around. lots of independent stores with variety of goods - cheese: kasswinkleje shop has great selection, clothes, genuine syrup waffles shop. great bars around the market square. we went to the Grand Central Cafe which has great service, friendly staff, great food choices, nice spot to people watch around the Market square. we didn’t have chance to go to the cathedral but it looks wonderful with best stained glass windows in the city brochure which is very useful. we wanted to do more walking around but ran out of time.

Lovely little town, not too busy and has a number of gorgeous streets and markets. It has everything you need and feels a less touristy and busy. Also has lots of local shops to buy food, souvenirs, clothes, etc. It's a very pretty and friendly town.

Fantastic location, extremely conveniently placed in centre of town by canal, near shops and restaurants. Jules was there to meet us when we arrived, and was really helpful. The flat was very tastefully decorated with high quality furnishings. I'd definitely recommend this apartment to any visitor to Gouda.

Location was good, very central in Gouda and close to everything you need. Host was helpful when it came to check in, as we had a delay at the airport. Apartment was modern and kitchen well equipped for cooking.
