Located on ground level, B&B de Pelgrimsplaats (the Pilgrims place) has its own entrance from one of the oldest streets in Leiden. This one bedroom hotel is uniquely decorated with art and artefacts collected from all over the world. The small kitchenette with all you need, the private bathroom and toilet gives you a complete feeling of living in one of the most historical quarters of Leiden - only for a short while....

After 26 years of living overseas we bought this property and allocated one of the best rooms in the house to be used as a Bed & Breakfast. Leiden - or little Amsterdam with the second largest canals network - was such a good choice to "land" because it has all you need: historical ambiance, nice little shops and boutiques, lots and lots of musea, many nice restaurants and bars and friendly people! Loving it here!

If you have ever wanted to visit the town where the famous painter Rembrandt van Rijn was born in, then you need to head to Leiden. Located a 15-minute drive away from Schiphol, the city of Leiden is famous for its university, multiple almshouses and having driven the Spanish troops out of the city on October 3rd 1574 - an event that is still celebrated each year. This city breathes history!
