It is an authentic Dutch detached house in the yard of our West Frisian farmhouse from 1890. Suitable for 2 maximum 3 people. Situated in a rural location with a magnificent view over a typical Dutch landscape with meadows and ditches. Just a 20-minute walk and 2 minutes by car to the Markermeer. A stay in our holiday home, 'Het Uilennest', means relaxing, relaxing and enjoying a rural environment with plenty of cycling and walking opportunities.
I live here wonderfully with my family consisting of my husband Remy and our 3 children. We would like to let others experience the peace, freedom and space and beautiful surroundings and therefore make our holiday home available, you are welcome.
Wijdenes (pronounced in dialect as "Woidenes") lies between the green meadows and near the Markermeer. A picturesque place with just over a thousand inhabitants. The historic core consists of houses and farmhouse farms that are built in the unique typical West Frisian style. The polder of Wijdenes was pumped in the past by two windmills - the Grote Molen and the Kleine Molen - which are popularly called "the mills". The oldest mill was built in 1514! Wijdenes is close to the Markermeer where you can relax on a summer day. Recreational boats regularly moor in the former fishing port. Take a walk along the Zuiderdijk and enjoy the panoramic view. It is the perfect base for those who want to explore Noord-Holland. Numerous characterful villages are interspersed with beautiful nature. The historic cities of Hoorn, Enkhuizen and Medemblik are also easily accessible.
