A house with a history. This building is from 1885, and in the early years it served the working class. Whole families lived here before. The name of this housing is also ‘the old Alkmaardertje’. If you look around you at the canal, you see houses next to you and opposite equal houses. The house itself is completely renovated two years ago. A modern kitchen with all amenities, small and cozy bathroom with second toilet is located, at the double bed you wake up of the sunshine and looks out over the canal. At the back there is a sofa, half bed which can be extended.

Your holiday home is located in the city, so you walk into the centre for shopping, eating good food or having a drink. Sociability enough! If your go out the front door and leads you turn to the right, then the first street (after parking area) right again, so you can walk to the main shopping area in Alkmaar. If you continue this road it gets itself at the Waagplein . Here is from April to September every Friday morning the cheese market, even here are many restaurants and bars. In the streets around the Waagplein are also many nice restaurants. In the area is much to do, cycling through dunes, walking in the woods or going to the beach, nice old villages to visit, museums, culture, sports and biking on a special trail in Schoorl, skating on the skating rink in Alkmaar, the playground for the kids! Short lot!
