Our charming market-gardener’s cottages are within walking distance of the North Holland Dune Reserve. Just cross the road and you’re instantly among woods and dunes—perfect for an early-morning walk, a day of wandering, or a long bike ride. The beach is about a 15‑minute cycle away for a refreshing swim or a sunset stroll. Fancy a trip to the city? Alkmaar, Haarlem, and Amsterdam are roughly half an hour away, making it easy to combine nature and culture. The house is an ideal base for walkers, cyclists, and beach lovers, as well as anyone who simply wants to unwind. We welcome you in person and are happy to share route suggestions, favorite eateries, and local tips. Feel at home!

You’re right in the middle of dunes, forest, and sea. The North Holland Dune Reserve is just around the corner—perfect for walking, running, cycling, and birdwatching. Within easy cycling distance you’ll find wide sandy beaches with beach cafés for coffee, lunch, or a sunset dinner; in summer you can surf or SUP there, and in every season it’s a great place to catch the sea breeze. In the village and nearby you’ll find cozy eateries, bakeries, and (farm) shops with local produce. On market days you can pick up fresh cheese, bread, and vegetables for a picnic in the dunes. In the mood for culture or a day in the city? Alkmaar, Haarlem, and Amsterdam are about half an hour away by public transport or car—from the Cheese Market and canals to museums, concert halls, and excellent restaurants. Practicalities: bike rental is available nearby, nature and beach routes start practically on your doorstep, and there are good public‑transport connections to the station and the cities. In short: a peaceful, green stay with everything within easy reach.
