The studio is located in the old cozy city center of Alkmaar near the beautiful Oude Gracht and in a quiet location. The studio has its own front door that opens into a separate hall for coats and bags and possibly bicycles. Then you enter the cozy living room/bedroom with wooden floor. It has a warm appearance with attention to detail and is equipped with many amenities to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We have now happily lived at this location since 2019 and have renovated the entire house. Finally, it was the studio's turn and is now open to guests. The house was previously part of a courtyard. It dates from 1906. The authentic tiles are still present in the hall and bathroom. The cozy patio is located at the rear of the Studio. Parking We do not have our own parking lot. The nearest parking garage is DE SCHELPHOEK (6 minutes walk). It is possible to park the car at Studio Nieuwland for a short period to load and unload luggage. Booking restrictions Studio Nieuwland can be booked 3 days in advance. The maximum stay is 14 days, minimum stay is 2 days.

I am interested in art and am actively involved in painting and mosaics. I like going to museums and on city trips. I also enjoy meeting people and, if possible, making them enthusiastic about art in Alkmaar and the surrounding area. If you would like more information during your stay, you can contact me on site.

The studio is located in the old center. Everything is within walking distance, the shopping promenade, authentic shops in small alleys, supermarkets, a multitude of restaurants, bars, museums and theater). The famous sights of Alkmaar (De Grote Kerk, De Waagtoren, Cheese Market, canals, oldest city park in the Netherlands) can also be reached within 10 minutes on foot. The cinema/film house is a maximum 15-minute walk away. The train and bus station are within walking distance of 20 minutes with excellent connections to e.g. Haarlem or Amsterdam.
