Cosy retreat located in Jølster, in the heart of western Norway and the Sunnfjord region. Sorrunded by rural nature and overlooking the lake, Jølstravatnet and the mountains, this is a perfect base to explore what the region has to offer. Light the fireplace in the evening or bring a blanket and sit outside and enjoy the view from the terrace. The sun sets late during the summer months so you can also enjoy the outdoor deck with good space for the entire family. Even tough this is a "hytte" (mountain cabin) it is easy to access by a normal car. The Lodge has a modern feel, all the amenities you need and a big portion of "hygge" too. If it is skii season you are pretty lucky. The lodge has ski in/out since it is the nearest neighbour to the alpine slopes of Jølster skiresort.

The neighbourhood is mostly cabins that norwegians use for weekend get-aways. And there is several hiking trails used by the locals. So you might meet a friendly local while hiking. Remember to say "God tur" which is common in Norway if you meet someone. The cabin is placed right beside the skiilift in Jølster Skisenter. So if you visit during winter you can skii in/out from the front door. To get around we recommend to use a car or the free bikes. 5 min down the road you will find: Spar supermarked (open daily) YX Gas station - rent El-bikes, kayak, fishing licens Sunnfjord Golfklubb - golf course Jølstraholmen - cafeteria, camping site with playground for kids & waterslide Jølstramuseet - old barn with local food and art gallery Astruptunet - Nikolai Astrup art gallery & garden Jølstravatnet - lake famous for troutfishing 20 min by car: Førde city Skei - Brunsj & Briller: great food and coffee 45 min: Bringeland airport 1 hour: Sogndal city Olden Gaularfjellet 1,5 hour: Loen Florø 3 hours: Bergen city 3,5 hours: Ålesund city
