Opplev et nyoppusset 100 år gammelt tidligere grendehus midt i en vakker eplegård og med vakker utsikt over Fyksesundet i Hardanger.
Fykse er ei lita grend med ca to hundre innbyggere 15 minutters kjøring øst for Øystese. Fiskemuligheter i fjorden Fyksesund er innen gangavstand av det gamle grendehuset. Skogen og fjellet over grenda byr på fantastisk utsikt over Hardangerfjorden og gode muligheter for fotturer, sopp- og bærplukking og fiske i fjellvann. Fyksesund er en fjordarm av Hardangerfjorden i Kvam kommune i Hordaland. Fjorden strekker seg 10 kilometer nordvestover fra Hardangerfjorden. To kilometer inn i fjorden ligger bygda Fykse, som fjorden har tatt sitt navn etter. Her krysser riksvei 7 fjorden via den lange Fyksesundbrua. Videre inn i fjorden ligger bygdene Porsmyr på vestsida og Klyve på østsida. Innerst i Fyksesund ligger bygdene Botnen og Flatabø. Den indre delen av fjorden, fra Mjåsund og innover, har svært bratte og høye fjellsider. Kvam kommune har uendelig mye fint å by på. Vi anbefaler gjester å sjekke ut hva Visit Hardangerfjord anbefaler.
