We enjoy meeting people from all over the world, and we love spending time in the beautiful nature in the area. In the winter there is plenty of places to go skiing, and with the help of a husky or two - one can get around the mountains quite fast. In the summer we enjoy hiking, fishing and swimming. You can book local guides for longer hikes, or you can buy a map of the surrounding mountains and endeavor for yourselves. There are many fantastic hikes that start at the lodge. We are happy to help you book kayaking or rafting in the Raundalsriver. We are looking forward to meeting you!

Welcome to the magnificent Mjølfjell Mountain Lodge. Located alongside the Raundalriver, this historical place serves as a portal to the extraordinary adventures of Hardangervidda. It is also alongside the Bergen / Oslo railway, deemed one of the 10 most beautiful in Europe, and is only 10 minutes by train from the world famous Myrdal station where you can enjoy the fantastic Flåmsbanen.

The mountain tops are tall and plentiful, and there is always a new location to discover. The general area is world famous for both it's pristine nature, and the many possibilities to experience action and extreme sports. For those less inclined towards sports, there is also a lot of history to the area, and you can seek out cultural sites or enjoy scouting the local wildlife and livestock. The place has something special to offer anyone!
