This exclusive Villa at Nesje in beautiful and scenery Oppstryn (Stryn, Norway), originally built in 1935, was total renovated in 2022 and contains all modern facilities in addition to original wooden floors and walls, mixing top-modern functionality with traditional timber and a cosy atmosphere. The stunning view of the Oppstryn lake and the surrounding mountains reaching 1800 MSL sets the context for your vacation and offers everything you need for a country getaway. The entry level houses a large, modern, and fully equipped kitchen, a tiled bathroom with a double walk-in shower and two sinks, washing machine and tumble dryer, a large dining area, two living rooms, and an office space. All floors are heated (1st floor). Upstairs contains four bedrooms (eight beds) and one living room. All bedrooms have individually controlled heating and blinds and are equipped with bed linen and towels for all visitors. Guests can make use of the free, fast speed WiFi, two flat-screen smart TVs with cable channels and streaming opportunities. There are BBQ facilities and outdoor furniture in the lawn area outdoors, providing a great space for gathering and entertaining. Free parking.

I grew up in Stryn, but with grandparents and family living in Nesje on the farm west of my newly renovated house. Been living all over Norway since I became an adult, but now I needed to get a base camp for the future and found this house as my perfect getaway from cities and tarmac. I fish trout in Oppstryn lake, and love to climb the mountains surrounding the lake. Skiing both winter and summer. Welcome to Nesje!

The Oppstryn area has lots of hiking opportunities for people at all ages and fitness levels, both spectacular, full-day mountain hikes, and light hikes in flatter terrain. The area is well suited for mountain biking in the summer and freeride skiing in the spring/winter. The property is located five minutes’ walk from the Oppstryn lake, ten minutes’ drive from the cosy village Hjelle where you can enjoy a nice afternoon tea, take a swim or enjoy water sports facilities, 15 minutes’ drive from Stryn city with shopping opportunities and the fjord (Nordfjord), 25 minutes’ drive to the Loen Sky lift attraction and Lodalen valley, approximately 1 hour drive to glacier attractions (in Lodalen and Briksdalen), and 1 hour, 15 minutes’ drive from Geiranger/the Geirangerfjord. There is also a climbing park – Hydla parken (summer) and a ski centre – Stryn Vinterski (alpine and cross-country, prepped tracks and ski lifts) 25 minutes away. During May-June the Stryn summer ski centre is open, which is located 30 minutes’ drive from the property.
