THE VILLA: Welcome to The Nordic Villa Retreat – a classic yet modern villa situated on a sunny and spacious plot on Valderøya in Giske municipality, just 10 minutes from Ålesund, known as one of the most beautiful cities in the world. This elegant and welcoming home blends timeless Scandinavian architecture with modern comfort and a consistently high standard. Built in 2013, it features four large bedrooms (plus a cozy loft), two living rooms and two bathrooms – ideal for larger families or groups of friends seeking space, tranquility, and spectacular natural surroundings. Expansive verandas invite you to relax and enjoy panoramic views of the fjord and the iconic Sunnmøre Alps, offering a magical atmosphere in all seasons. Though well cared for, the house has been home to an active young family. Especially in the children’s rooms, you may notice signs of creativity and joyful play on walls and ceilings – we hope you’ll see it as part of the home’s charm :) The property is located at the peaceful southern tip of Valderøya in a quiet and established residential area with mostly detached family homes. The location offers excellent sun conditions and short walking distance to grocery store, public transport, playgrounds, the sea, and breathtaking hiking trails in the mountains. DISTANCES: 150 m to bus stop with frequent service to Ålesund, 300 m to supermarket, 150 m to playground, 900 m to primary school, 500 m to sports hall, and approx. 2.5 km to full athletic facilities. By car: 10 min to Ålesund city center and airport, 20 min to Amfi Moa Shopping Center. NOTE: Our small and loving family also includes a Cane Corso dog. Although the house is thoroughly cleaned, some traces or light scent of the dog may remain. We kindly ask guests with allergies to be aware of this before booking. Also note that the basement floor is rented out to long-term tenants who live separately and do not share the main house or outdoor areas with guests.
