Newly renovated in 2025/26, this bright and welcoming loft apartment offers a peaceful stay in a quiet residential area just outside Bergen. With views of the lake and surrounding hills, it combines Nordic calm with easy access to both the city and nature. The apartment has a warm Scandinavian feel and, while relatively compact, is thoughtfully laid out to make the most of the space. It includes a fully equipped kitchen, a separate bedroom, a spacious bathroom with shower and washing machine, and a comfortable living area with sofa bed. It is a practical and cosy base for couples, friends, small families, or business travellers. Guests also have access to a private outdoor area just outside the entrance to the loft, with a sofa and table. It is a sheltered and peaceful spot to sit with a coffee, read, or relax outside. From here, you are close to Bergen city centre, while also being well placed for scenic day trips towards the fjords and mountains. Fløyen, Ulriken and the beautiful Hardanger area are all within reach, including places like Norheimsund. There are also lovely local walking trails just behind the house, where you can enjoy fresh air, forest paths and beautiful views within minutes. A calm, comfortable and stylish place to stay for guests who want both city access and the quiet atmosphere of western Norway.

We are a British-Norwegian family with three children, living in the house below the loft. We both work in education and enjoy creating a warm, reliable stay for guests. Having travelled a lot ourselves, we feel very comfortable in international settings and genuinely enjoy welcoming people from different places. Guests can check in independently and let themselves in, but we are always happy to help with anything you need and to share tips for Bergen, local walks, and day trips in the area. Our aim is simply to offer a peaceful, comfortable place to stay, with privacy when you want it and help nearby if needed.

The neighbourhood is quiet, green, and family-friendly, offering a calm and more local side of Bergen. From the loft, you are close to forest paths, small playgrounds, and lovely views of the surrounding hills and lake, while still being within easy reach of the city. It is a peaceful place to stay if you want a break from the busiest parts of town, without feeling far away from anything important. Åsane is also one of Bergen’s main shopping areas, and within about 5 minutes by car you can reach large shopping centres, IKEA, grocery stores, pharmacies, cafés, and restaurants. Bergen city centre is around 15 minutes away by car, making it easy to combine city sightseeing with a quieter place to stay. It is definitely an advantage to have a car here, especially on weekends and during holidays, when public transport is more limited. There is a bus stop close to the house, but services are less frequent at certain times. The good news is that there is free parking in the area, just a short walk from the house. Overall, the location works very well for guests who want a calm base with easy access to both Bergen and the surrounding mountains and fjord region.
