Blue Stone B N B is set on a lifestyle block. Our main residence is built from Blue Stone Rock. It was built in 1885 by a Scottish stone Mason. We are situated only 10 minutes from the Timaru cbd area, sports center, beach and restaurants. It is very peaceful with gardens to relax in. You will be able to hear bird song along with deer calling in Autumn. Large veggie garden and fruit trees. Most fruit served with your breakfast will have been grown on the property, spray free, and companion planted. Yes, you will see some good weeds.
The other adjoining properties are private residences set on lifestyle grounds. One is a working farm, which was originally part of this property farm. We have a small dog called Huw,he loves you playing with him. There is a visiting black cat called Leo, a real treat with only 3 legs.
The owner has worked in the dental industry for many yrs. Has grt knowledge of NZ, having traveled throughout NZ for work. Loves cooking, preserving, and fresh vegetables.
Has a love of the outdoors Worked with the public for many years, in surgeries as well as in sales & marketing. Loved Skiing, loves to get out on a good walk with Huw through the many walking trails in Timaru.
Bluestone is only 10 minutes from Caroline Bay for a walk on the beach, boardwalk, or the Rose gardens.
Take a skate at the skating rink down at the bay. Go down at dusk and see the smallest penguins coming in at night. Check the birds out in the open walk through Aviary.
The art gallery is less than 10 minutes from Bluestone and has wonderful exhibitions. Great music and bar snaks at Hector Black lounge bar Stafford Street south. There are some wonderful food and beverage businesses along the Bay Hill and in the city - if it's a special dinner, pop down to the Oxford restaurant.
Walk the coast, walk to the lighthouse, or a shorter a
walk, go along the estuary on your way south, and check out the wildlife.
Pop into the wonderful museum in the center of town. Take a look at the second-hand shop. it's on the south end of Stafford Street. Laundromat is on your way south by the Caltex gas station. Only 10 minutes from here is the historic St Mary's church magnificent, found on church St opposite the library.
