The country garden cottage is only minutes from the airport, and 20 minutes from Dunedin city centre. It is in a very handy location, but feels removed from noise and stress. The cottage is extremely well appointed, and feels a bit like grandmas place. Lots of comfortable seating, cushions, and rugs. It even has a giant cushion in a sunny reading corner. Popular DVDs are provided to play on the large screen television. There is free Wi-Fi, and chrome cast as well. Enjoy mountain and sea views, in the peaceful garden setting, listening to bird song, while enjoying the sunshine and tranquility. There are plenty of extensive lawns to play with your dog, and you are invited to explore the gardens. Our home-made goodies are enjoyed by guests for breakfast. Enjoy your solitude and privacy, or spend time with your hosts, Virginia and Dave, and their friendly little dog, Betty.

Now that we are both retired, we have even more time to develop projects and features in our 2 acre property.

Saddle Hill Road is so named because of the hill that Captain Cook saw and named from his ship sailing up the east coast many years ago. Our property is also only minutes from Brighton Beach, the village Outram with its lovely eating and tourist shops, and Mosgiel, the local country town. The scenic Coast Road takes you further south to the famous Catlins, or head up past Outram towards Middlemarch and the world-famous Rail Trail.
