Harakeke Hut is tucked away down a quiet, elusive country road, surrounded by farm life and regenerating bush, historic totara trees giving you the feeling of being miles from the hustle and bustle of the city. In reality, convenience is close at hand – just five minutes’ drive to Brightwater’s Four Square or the Sprig and Fern for a craft beer and a bite to eat. For outdoor adventurers, it’s only three minutes to the beautiful turquoise swimming holes of the Wairoa River, just down the road from The Wairoa Mountain Bike Park, and right by Mt Richmond Forest Park, where the iconic Te Araroa trail runs through. It’s the perfect blend of peaceful rural escape and easy access to both relaxation and adventure.
