Purpose built Air BnB, the building is small and cosy yet has a feeling of spaciousness with windows and a slider opening onto the deck and expansive views for a great indoor/outdoor flow. There is the luxury of two bedrooms, one permanently set up as a queen the other has two singles or queen. Let us know your preference and we will have it setup on your arrival. Just 10mins from Forsyth Bar Stadium and 20mins from the Otago Peninsula, it is a tranquil place to unwind after a day of exploring the wonderful city of Dunedin and its surroundings - considered to be the wildlife capital of New Zealand. Relax before a big game or concert - you can walk 10min to the bus that stops right outside the stadium. Harbour Hideaway is well equipped with its own private area but there is also space for the children to roam and explore. They are welcome to interact with the animals and in springtime help bottle feed the babies. You can switch off from the busyness of life or use the WIFI to plan your next adventure, or watch a movie

We love to meet new people and if available we will pop down and say hello to many of our guests. The Harbour Hideaway is setup to be completely self reliant. We understand your privacy is important. Greg and I are both busy people, our family is our greatest love, Greg is a teacher at Otago Boys High School, during spare time Greg likes to on the water, sailing, diving, even just being on a boat and he is happy, Adelle work I as a skipper on the University of Otago vessels, also loves water sports and horse riding. We both love travel and enjoy making sculptures predominantly from metal when time allow. West Harbour is a wonderful area with something that will delight everyone. Numerous beaches within 10minutes drive including some fantastic surf spots. Port Chalmers is a 2 minute drive from Harbour Hideaway, it has a great vibes with regular indoor and outdoor markets. The main street is lined with a range of boutique style shops, several cafes, pubs and restaurants and takeaways. There is also a supermarket, gas stations, a library, swimming pool and much much more. There are numerous short bush walks around the town and some great lookout points. Sawyers Bay is home to a golf club, Port Chalmers has its very own Museum. bring your fishing rod and try your luck on the newly built fishing jetty, you will never be short of something to do. Of course the city of Dunedin and Forsyth Barr Stadium is only a 10-15min drive away!
