Nestled in the back of a quiet garden, tucked away in a pocket of bush, yet close to shops, transport and restaurants, Hide Away is right in the heart of Waikanae and gives you the best of both worlds. You will have your own private bathroom, a separate lounge with kitchenette and a spacious bedroom with a queen-sized bed, and plenty of storage.

Michaela and Hans have been living in Waikanae for almost 30 years and still love it as much as at the beginning. They open up their family home for visitors and like to share their enthusiasm for the Coast and for the very special place they love.

You will be 350m away from the Waikanae train station that will bring you all the way into Wellington. You will be a stone throw away from Mahara Place, the heart of Waikanae, with its cinema, cafes and retail shops. You will have easy access to two large supermarkets. You will be less than 100m from the local craft brewery and pub, and it is only a few steps further for a variety of different restaurants and eateries. From Hide Away, you will have easy access to walks along the Waikanae River or into the Tararua Ranges, and many other attractions of the Kapiti Coast.
