My name is Victoria and my previous enjoyment with hosting a B&B has resulted in providing quality accommodation for tourists, family/whanau, friends, clubs, and business travellers. I am very aware of environmental energies and have taken time to ensure Ironsands is conducive to a restful and harmonious stay.

Ironsands is a spacious and comfortable house where you can relax in quiet, share meals together, and enjoy communal or private areas. It has two bathrooms on Infinity gas hot water (one of which has just been fully renovated - see photos for Superior Triple Room), a large fully functional kitchen and a warm roomy living area for dining and lounging. The dining table seats 6-8 people. Ironsands has free WIFI, and a desk with a laptop is available to guests. Heating is by heatpump. There is also a big screen TV, DVD player and stereo in this room (Note: no TV in bedrooms). An iron is available to guests, with laundry facilities at the Mobil station laundromat, and a large clothesline in the back yard. The garden area is private for BBQs and sunbathing. This facility encourages people to meet and mingle, and share stories of travels and experiences. Booking the whole property may be possible.

With a great beach nearby there is access to swimming, surfing, fishing, boating, beach walking and sunset viewing from the lookout. The spectacular view of Mount Taranaki from the main street of Patea is breathtaking on a good day, and it is within a cruisey drive for sight-seeing/photography, garden visits, or hiking. Patea has an art gallery, museum, 2 cafes, swimming pool, golf club, squash club, walkways, and boat ramp. It is a great place to relax and is central to either Whanganui, Hawera or New Plymouth.
