Very large and quiet room, plenty amenities as well as close to everything you need. There could be a few more parking spots close to the lift, but very nice and value the price

We really like this place. First of all, communication is very smoothly and helpful. Secondly, friendly to “I” type people, as you can help yourself with all the process just follow the information through the email and message. Honestly, I would like to book again if I plan to visit New Plymouth next time. The lounge room, the whole hotel more like an art gallery, you can see a lot of artworks including some Chinese paintings, sculptures. Room is not very big but with everything you needed, it’s tidy and clean, showers are brand new, I believe they maintain the facilities well. We did not get a chance to try the restaurant as we arrive on 24th, Christmas Eve, while all the restaurants are closed on Xmas. But when we passing the bar, it seems very good, maybe we can have a try next time. The location of the hotel is really really really convenient!!! Close to all the places, the KFC, PNS, light show park, art gallery.

The room was of a very generous size for a hotel and the bed was comfy and shower had good pressure.

The house is older but is up kept with lots of love. My room had a sink in it which was really nice, otherwise it was a very small room with a bed but just enough for me for an overnight stay. There is a common kitchen area and lounge, and two shared bathroom areas. The car park is in the back and you have to walk all the way around to go in and out of the front door to the car park, which isn't too bad but something to consider for mobility limitations or if you have a lot to carry to your room. There is a pub and a restaurant on the bottom floor and the accomodations are on the second floor accessed by stairs inside. I enjoyed my stay here and found it very pleasant. The price was higher than I would have expected but closer to fair than others I looked at in the area.

Nice Hotel is such a standout. The way they lean into the building’s history is brilliant, and the staff actually know their stuff—they aren’t just reading from a script. Whether you’re asking about the hotel’s past, the weather forecast, where to grab a bike, or the best dinner spots for those tricky Sunday and Monday nights, they have an answer for everything. Staying there honestly feels like being wrapped in a warm blanket of hospitality. The bed was so comfortable, the shower was perfect, and I was especially obsessed with the amenities—the scent of their bath products is just incredible! We actually live right here in New Plymouth, but we’d book a stay at Nice Hotel just for the atmosphere. It’s wild that we can feel like we’re on a total vacation and completely wind down while being only a five-minute drive from our own front door.
