We are Daryl & Wanda Whipps and are very excited to be the new owner/operators of the Millers Flat Holiday Park. We look forward to meeting everyone who comes here, both regulars and not so regulars, and being part of this wonderful community. We are southerners born and bred, with roots in Tapanui and Riversdale and have moved over from Te Anau, where we spent the last 11 years with Daryl as a Stock Agent and myself in Accommodation and Retail. We are a large family with 5 adult children, their partners and 2 grandchildren. As keen campers ourselves, we are excited to put our own spin on the Park and make it our home.

Nestled in the scenic Teviot Valley Millers Flat Holiday Park is the gateway to Cental Otago. A traditional "kiwi" Holiday Park we are in the perfect place to relax and unwind or complete your journey of discovery by road or cycle on the Clutha Gold Cycle Trail. "Millers Flat Cancellation Policy" Cancellation fees vary for peak season bookings (Christmas/New Year/Easter booking deposits are non refundable.) The Teviot Valley offers a unique heritage experience within diverse and stunning landscapes alongside the Clutha Mata-au River. You'll love the ambiance, the outdoors space, the neighbourhood, and the sunshine.Millers Flat was named after Walter Miller, who farmed the first great sheep station in the area “Oven Hill” from 1857. Millers Flat is half way along the Clutha River named Mata-au by Maori, which flows from Lake Wanaka through Central Otago to the Pacific Ocean. The Clutha has the highest flow rate of all New Zealand rivers. Millers Flat has many fishing spots for brown trout and salmon. Trout is abundant in Lake Onslow, a high country lake just 18km from Millers Flat. Sheep and beef farming is the main industry with some summer fruit orchards and fruit stalls on the river flats. Millers Flat also boasts a Central Otago climate.
