You and your guests will be close to everything when you stay at our peaceful yet centrally located house. Nestled among trees and across the road from the Hanmer Forest, the house is private and quiet but just a couple of minutes walk from the pools and village centre. It's ideal for couples or families. The house has a full kitchen, plenty of sleeping and heating options, and linen and towels are provided for all guests. The house is very much a quintessential Kiwi bach. It's a relaxing space for guests in a lovely setting. The house has a master bedroom and a second bedroom with beds on both a lower and mezzanine floor (ideal for children and accessible by a ladder). Linen is provided for all beds. A fold out couch in the living room can be used for additional guests. The house gets plenty of sun and natural light, and the log burner is great in winter. There are generous gardens and lawns at the front and back of the property offering sun or shade as desired. We've enjoyed this house for over 40 years and we know you will too!

The house is just a few minutes walk from the centre of the village and the hot pools. It is directly opposite the Hanmer Forest, which offers an array of beautiful walking and mountain biking tracks (the Sculpture Walk and the Fairy Door Walk are family favourites). The proximity of the forest and our own established trees mean that birds love our property, especially Tui, Kereru and Bell Birds. There's no need to use your vehicle when you stay at our place, as the hot pools and village are so close. Within the village you'll find plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops, all within a few minutes walk from the property. Half, full and multi day hikes are all possible from Hanmer and we're happy to advise if this is of interest to you.
