On the ground floor there is a separate entrance to the bedrooms which are light and airy, each with modern ensuite bathrooms featuring heated tile floors. One bedroom contains a kings size bed, the other bedroom has 2 single beds which can be joined to make another king-size bed if needed. Both rooms can be rented separately as the rooms have individual door locks. From each bedroom there is a ranch slider opening to your own patio and the garden. In the hallway there is a niche which has a refreshments bar built in that can be used at any time. We live on the top floor and I will be available most of the time in case you would like to meet me and to answer any queries you might have.

Hi, I’m a lady with the Belgium nationality who has had a dream for many years to open a B&B once my partner Roy and I would return to New Zealand, his home country. We have been living in Europe (Belgium) together for about 20 years and did a lot of travel during that time both business and holiday related. Dutch is my mother language, English I can speak fluent, French and the German language I can understand but not as fluent. Now that the time has come to settle down and enjoy the relaxing lifestyle which New Zealand offers, I enjoy being a host for people travelling and offer a nice, clean and cosy place to stay so you can have a relaxing time away from home and charge your batteries in the Bream Bay area. My hobbies over the years have been mostly sports related like mountain biking, Kite surfing, skiing, hiking and sailing. In 2016 Roy and I left Europe on a sailing yacht (Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 42i) for a sailing adventure which took us just over 2 years to cross the oceans and arrive in New Zealand at the end of 2018. After our arrival we started organising to get our new house built which is now finished and I’m ready to welcome guests at Roy and Ann’s Haven.

Based in the popular Marsden Cove Marina waterways, with a small beach directly over the property, we would like to welcome you into our new home. One and a half hours north of Auckland, 30 minutes south of Whangarei, we are ideally placed for a stopover to the Northland area. However there is plenty to discover in the vicinity. Close to the ocean and the stunning Whangārei Harbour, with the nearest beaches at Marsden Bay (5 minutes walking distance) and 20km long Ruakaka beach, (a 5 minute drive away) there are plenty of opportunities for long walks, swimming or water sports including kitesurfing, stand-up paddle boarding, and of course fishing.
