Enjoy the ocean views in this private studio with own exterior access, kitchenette and bathroom. The place is nestled in a quiet suburb, 15 minutes of walking distance to the beach and 5 minutes of drive to the city centre. Located on the first floor of a family house with truly special history - originally designed in England and exhibitted on the New Zealand and South Seas International Exhibition in 19 20s; after that it has been moved to its current location. We welcome families with children free of charge, and can provide an additional mattress for them to sleep on on the floor (the "futon" bed in the Booking description means a mattress on the floor). Just consider if the wooden staircase that leads to the main family house, and is located in the bedroom, isn't a risk for your toddler. We have swings and a trampoline that your kids can hop on after you have talked to us. We have two toddles ourselves so can understand how difficult travelling with kids can be! The entry is through a kitchenette equipped with a fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle and utensiles. Tea and coffee is provided for your convenience. The bedroom is equipped with the most comfortable queen-sized bed for a really good good-night sleep, and work desk. Two heaters keep the rooms lovingly warm. The bathroom is accessed from the kitchenette, and features a shower corner with dome, and strong hot flow to give you the spa feeling after a busy day! Plenty of towels are provided for your convenience. The access to the studio is from the sloping driveway on the right-hand side of the house. Look for the door with a picture of sailing boat. Please park on the street and walk down to the studio. I am currently full-time looking after two little children, which takes up most of my time :) I also enjoy hiking, cycling, tramping, rock climbing, skiing, and any sort of outdoor activities. Running a guest studio is a new challenge for me :)
