We are a locally owned and operated business on the stunning East Cape of Aotearoa, New Zealand. It had to be destiny that lead us (Shanti and Nathan) away from the big city and into the arms of a very humble campground. Since acquiring Tatapouri in 2019 we have dreamed of transforming it into a space which could encompass all of our passions; creative expression, nature appreciation, connection, good food and community. After years of hard work and lots of fun along the way, that dream is now a reality. We are grateful to be here, waking up to the world’s first sunrise each morning and sharing the beauty of this land with everyone. We’re looking forward to welcoming you soon, The Tatapouri Team

Kia Ora friends! We are a locally owned bespoke campground / oceanside accommodation on the stunning East Cape of Aotearoa (Qualmark accredited). We are 15-min drive from Gisborne city centre and few meter away from Dive Tatapouri (Stingray Tour). We are grateful to be here, waking up to the world’s first sunrise each morning and love to share the beauty of this whenua with everyone. here’s a little something for everyone where you can slow down, sink into nature’s blessings. From campsites, cabins (shared facilities), cabins (self-contained) to beachfront cabins overlooking the ocean. We have complimentary spa & sauna for the beachfront cabins which are Zen Cabin, Tiny Home, Little Villa, Glamping Tents. We are pet-friendly on the campground & standard cabins ( Log Cabins, Podlife & Moana Cabins only). There is not phone coverage in the area, but we do provide WIFI, which means sometimes wifi can be not as fast as we all would like. We care about the environment and recently joined the MyImprint to reduce our carbon emissions. We have sustainable practices such as use of eco-friendly products & recycling area. Please help us to look after our land by recycling your rubbish. We’re looking forward to welcoming you soon.
