The host Pip was there to meet us when we arrived and showed us the unit and amenities. She was just delightful. The beds were extremely comfortable and the unit beautifully warm for winter.

The property was a lovely little 2 bedroom downstairs from the main house and owners who are lovely. The location is great and the view is also lovely. Kids got to use the spa which was a nice surprise!

We only stayed overnight while travelling south for fieldwork but the location (and the dawn chorus!) were wonderful and I would have liked to stay longer.

The Bach is just the perfect location in St. Arnaud. Fully equipped apartment, everything in very good condition and super clean. Enjoy the garden and wind down or soak in the hot tub and watch the stars. To me it felt like a home away from home....

We were greeted by a very friendly Pip and her lovely dog Finn as we arrived at The Bach! The accommodation is perfect, very spacious and comfortable. The location couldn't be better, with just a short walk to Lake Rotoiti and many hiking tracks...

The apartment is modern , warm and spacious. Guests can self cater but breakfast is available on request and for an extra charge. I am available if guests need advice or have any special requests. Guests have full use of the garden and can easily access the many short walks which start outside the garden gates. This is a quiet property on a no exit street. Bird song is magnificant and the view from the apartment is stunning. Lake Rotoiti is a short walk away as is the local store, cafe and restaurant/bar.
Kevin and I have holidayed in our home here for many years. When we retired it made sense to spend all our time in this beautiful place. We love the outdoors and so enjoy meeting guests who appreciate what we have to offer . Hiking, watersports, fishing, mountain biking and skiing are activities we enjoy. Finn our young cocker spaniel loves being close to the mountains too. He likes nothing more than long walks(runs) close by. He love meeting new people as well.
St Arnaud/Lake Rotoiti is becoming a must visit wee corner of the south Island NZ. Simply sitting by the lake side is a nice experience but there is plenty to keep active people well amused. The silence, birdsong and vistas are highlights. St Arnaud is an easy drive from Nelson, Blenheim and Murchison.
