The Brown House was tragically lost in 2020 in New Zealand’s worst fire disaster that devastated the village The decision to rebuild was an easy one, and once again, Lisa Webb’s architectural brilliance was enlisted. some modifications were made, but the results remain just as stunning. This four-bedroom retreat accommodates up to ten guests. Each bedroom offers breathtaking views. while The Hideout features a skylight for stargazing. The house includes two living areas-one with a cozy nook and a roaring fire. A dedicated office space, For those needing to stay connected. My husband is a builder and I am an artist. We fell in love with this area and decided to buy a section many years ago and build. We lived in a caravan and had two beautiful children. The original house burnt down but we are just as happy with the second house . . We built the new house making a few changes such as adding a second living space where teenages can hang out. An office/library for reading or working and large expansive walls specifically for hanging art. As a family we enjoy Skiing on the Ohau Ski field, Biking the Alps2ocean, hiking the many trails in the mountains and along the Valleys. Swimming in Lake Ohau, Wakeboarding on lake Middleton. We really love sharing this magnificent part of the world with others and Hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
