The living area is 80sqm and the garage which is connected to cottage and is carpeted brings the area up to 110sqm Two double bedrooms, The master bedroom is a Super King bed bug can be made into twin beds if required. There is a walk in wardrobe in the master and the second bedroom has a Queen bed with an adequate clothing wardrobe. Both bedrooms have roof fan for improved ventilation in the summer months . The bathroom features a nice size bath with a separate shower with glass cabinet . The cottage has a fully functional kitchen with Electric oven , gas cook top and microwave. Dishwasher and washing machines are also available.The cottage was built in 2025 and is comfortable and modern and offers a very relaxing space with views over the garden and pond . There is a property is not ideal for young unattended children with the unfenced deep pond in the garden being a major hazard . Children have to be supervised at all times . We are dog lovers but do not want dogs in the living and bedrooms . There is plenty of space in the garage for dogs . The property is fenced apart from the gate entrance to the driveway. We are located in a beautiful part of the Tasman district with easy access to The Able Tasman National Park and there are plenty of cycle tracks nearby including the Great Taste Trail which can be started at the close by village of Mapua . The Cottage is also a great location for Golf enthusiasts with 3 very good 18 hole courses nearby including Greenacres , Motueka and Nelson and there are several very good 9 hole courses Kina , Totaradale and Waahi Taakaro at Nelson . We are also very close to beautiful sandy beaches at Rabbit Island and Kaiteriteri. We are also very close to Boat ramps at Mapua and Motueka and there is plenty of space for parking trailer boats in the property .

Bob is originally from Scotland and Bridget from Christchurch. We have been in the area since 2017 and are keen gardners, golfers and love boating in the Able Tasman . We also cycle the area on e-bikes and love walking our dogs on the beach at Ruby Bay or at Rough Island . We are passionate about the local area and the local,wine and food producers . So , please come and stay in our beautiful and comfortable cottage and get the most out of our local amenities whether you like activity or just relaxing .

The local neighbourhood offers great cycling , walking and water activities on the sea , also a great area for golf lovers with 18 hole courses at Greenacres , Motueka and Nelson and several 9 hole courses. There are great restaurants locally in Mapua including The Appleshed, The Jellyfish , Rimu Grove cellar door and wine bar . Great coffee at Alberta’s cafe and The Java Hut coffee shop . Locally brewed beers available at The Golden Bear brewing company and also The Sprig and Fern pub which does great food . Restaurants and vineyards are also available inland at Upper Moutere which include the Oldest Pub in NZ , The Moutere inn . Also The Moutere Hills restaurant and cellar door . Another beautiful vineyard to visit is Neudorf which has a cellar door and you can take your own picnic in there lovely garden . Other vineyards close by include Gravity res0and cellar door and The Harvest kitchen and Seifried Estate cellar door . For grocery shopping there is the very well stocked 4 Square in Mapua . Connings fruit and Veg at Factory Corner . Major supermarkets in Richmond include Pak n Save and Woolworths and in Motueka there is a New World and Woolworths . Nelson is only 25 minutes away and has many bars and restaurants and also a very good Car Museum with a very good collection of cars from around the world . Cinemas in Richmond, The Silky Otter and also in Nelson and Motueka.
