We've been offering Tom's Cottage since 2001. It's on 14 acres of beautiful country, with plantings and a dam. Back when we first got set up the international press fell in love with the place! "This tiny hideaway scores major points for its location and style, with a fabulous alfresco bath thrown in", The Times (London). And since then it's only gotten better, as everything has grown up and matured and turned the place into something quite stunning. So come and enjoy this spot for yourself!
I live on the property with my wife Linda. We absolutely adore travelling around New Zealand in our caravan, seeing places. I'm also a member of a local choir, which is pretty new to me. And apart from this and a few other things, my huge priority is my kids and my grandkids. But I absolutely love hosting people, and I look forward to welcoming you. While you're here you'll have absolute privacy, but if you need me I'll just be a small walk away and more than happy to help out in any way.
The Tuki Tuki River with trout fishing is super close. We have stunning views of Te Mata Peak. We're 10 minutes from Havelock North. 10 minutes from Ocean Beach (sandy and gorgeous) . And 15 minutes from Waimarama Beach (another gorgeous sandy beach, that has lifesavers and is very safe for swimming with the kids). The closest winery to us is Craggy Range, which is 5 minutes away. And Te Mata Peak is pretty darn close too. If you think of anything you know about the area - well we're only a small car ride away from it.
