We love living on the Tutukaka coast, socialising with our family and friends and enjoying our retirement.

The Tutukaka coast has many beautiful beaches, including one at the end of the marina. Sandy Bay is the most popular surf beach, and for swimming the jewels are Matapouri and Whale Bay to the north and Whangaumu to the south. Activities and attractions include the famous Dive Tutukaka which goes to the Poor Knights, fishing charters - the snapper is plentiful, and big game fishing. Diving, snorkelling, kayaking and paddle boarding are also popular. Popular walks are to the Tutukaka lighthouse, and a coastal walk from Ngunguru to Whangaumu Bay. Twilight markets take place on the green over summer, showcasing local arts and crafts, food trucks and live music. The cafes and restaurants all offer great food and service, with views of the marina. Sailfish Cove winery is also a short drive north. There is also an electric vehicle charging station next to the hotel complex.
