Welcome to Fare Pūnano, a nature haven between forest and lagoon. Nestled mountainside in Paea (PK 18.6 – west coast), this peaceful bungalow offers panoramic views of the lagoon and Moorea, magnificent sunsets, a natural spring on the property, and a white-sand beach just 200 m away, bordered by a lagoon ideal for snorkeling. A green, quiet, family-friendly setting for a restorative stay that blends Polynesian authenticity with modern comfort. The bungalow isn’t air-conditioned, but it benefits from pleasant natural ventilation and is equipped with two fans to keep you comfortable during the day. And because we live in the heart of a natural environment, it’s not unusual for a few little visitors to drop by unannounced: playful geckos, curious mosquitoes, or occasional tropical insects — nothing to worry about, just the local fauna saying hello 🦎😉
We’re Marie-Ange and Marco. We arrived in French Polynesia back in 2001 and instantly fell in love with the fenua and its warm, welcoming people. For over 20 years, we’ve been living in this peaceful, family-friendly neighbourhood in Paea, nestled between the mountains and the lagoon. It’s a serene and charming place we’re happy to share with our guests. Welcome to our little corner of paradise 🌴
We live in a quiet, family-friendly neighbourhood just 200 metres from the beach and lagoon. Shops and restaurants are close by, and the stunning Vaiava public beach – one of Tahiti’s most beautiful white sand beaches – is just 600 metres away. The nearby Arahurahu marae, a significant cultural site, is also well worth a visit.
