Welcome to our home, a family-run project connecting three generations of women on 3 islands 🌺 The houses at My Mountain Home were originally family homes that we lived in before opening them to travelers. They were first designed as places to live, which gives them a simple, warm and authentic atmosphere. Online, it is me — Heimana — who answers your messages and helps you prepare your stay before arrival. In Afaahiti, my mother Wendy takes care of the property and helps ensure that each stay runs smoothly. When the season allows, she sometimes shares products from the garden. You may also meet my sister Tehau, who regularly comes to look after the animals living on the property. On the island of Huahine, at our property My Island Home, you will be welcomed by Vaihere, who embodies the warm spirit of Polynesian hospitality. Nestled on the green hills of the Tahiti-Iti, My Mountain Home – The Chalet is a small wooden house ideal for a peaceful stay for two in the heart of nature. Surrounded by tropical vegetation and opening onto a large terrace, it offers a simple and welcoming setting to relax and enjoy the gentle rhythm of island life. Inside, the chalet features a comfortable double bed and a kitchen equipped with an oven and refrigerator. It also includes a private terrace overlooking the garden, perfect for enjoying the natural surroundings. Animals roam freely on the property — peacocks, chickens, geese and sometimes a few adventurous guinea pigs — adding to the authentic atmosphere of the place. My Mountain Home is a small property composed of three independent houses set in a tropical garden: • The Galerie – the main house accommodating up to 8 guests • The Studio – a smaller garden house for 2 to 3 guests • The Chalet – a more intimate house, ideal for a stay for two A simple and natural place to discover the Tahiti-Iti or simply slow down and enjoy the tropical surroundings. A car is recommended to fully explore the peninsula.

The property is located on the hills of Afaahiti, about a 9-minute drive from the center of Taravao, on Tahiti-Iti. Just a few minutes above the house, you will find the Taravao Belvedere, a beautiful scenic spot overlooking the meeting of Tahiti’s two islands. It is also a great place for a peaceful walk in the wild.
