Are you up for a Palawan adventure? There's no better way than to go to an off-the-beaten-path beach vacation! Surya is located inside a 2-hectare beachfront community in a remote but accessible village in Aborlan, just the next town south of Puerto Princesa. Our cottages are steps away from the beach and boasts of amazing views of the sunrise and the moonrise. The roads going to Surya is quite an adventure. Going out of Puerto Princesa city, you will pass by coastal towns, the famous Acacia Tunnel (a magical row of Acacia trees that form into a tunnel along Puerto Princesa South Road), rice fields, and a 5-km dirt road to end your journey. The closest airport is Puerto Princesa International Airport. We offer private transportation (with additional cost) from the airport or any point in Palawan to Surya and vice versa. If you're up for some authentic tropical island adventure, you are most welcome to stay with us!
Hi, my name is JM. I love nature, traveling and I’m always looking for some adventure! But whenever I need to slow down, I come to Surya. It has become my special place where I can escape from all the noise of the modern world, relax, take a breather, and just appreciate the beautiful nature around me. It is a place where I can recharge and refill my empty cup. I hope it does the same for you.
When you reach Surya, you will be welcomed to a private, fenced, and well maintained beach community. Apart from a couple of private houses, the rest of the area is filled with nothing but coconut trees :) Wake up early and catch the sunrise right outside your doorstep. If you’re lucky, you might even catch the sunrise from your bed so make sure to open those window curtains before 6am! And if you’re really lucky, you can catch a magnificent moonrise at the same spot by 6pm! If you’re looking for some adventure, you can wander off and walk along the stretch of the sea shore or outside the community fence. You might see wild animals like monitor lizards, squirrels, different bird species, and maybe even snakes so explore with caution. The locals are friendly and speak Tagalog and English.
