The Balete Resthouse was named after the big and old Balete tree in the Private Cliff Beach which is found in the property. In Filipino folk tales, it is believed to be a dwelling place for supernatural beings but for some it is a symbol of resilience and passage of time. The resthouse was built more than 100 meters from the Tree and the Cliff beach. It is vacation home for an OFW family and now turned into a small but profitable business providing travellers and tourists a calm and peaceful place to stay in the island. Now, we have added Laundry Services for travellers and vacationers in our area.

We often see guests who are tired from their long trip or exhausted from the buzzy bar and crowded place. The Balete Resthouse offers tranquillity with a homey atmosphere and with our large property, you can stroll or exercise, watch the birds and even pick fruits from our trees. You can cook in our big kitchen and eat in our spacious dining hall. We also have our own private cliff beach that is 100 meters from your accommodation where you can swim, watch turtles, snorkel, and even do yoga in one of our huts. Our large staircase which leads to the water is 1.2 meters wide which is safe for both elderly and kids. The place is relaxing and is away from the hustle & bustle of the streets, yet near to Island's famous tourist attractions such as Timobo Cave, Tulang Island, Calvario, Bakhaw Beach, and Danao Lake. You can rent out motorbikes in our resthouse and we also have a laundry shop on site with an extra charge. We also have a Studio Room which is located 10 meters from the road, it has a street view with easy access to the road.
