The farm and accommodations are run by second-generation family members along with staff from different indigenous people groups in Palawan. We are passionate about growing and serving food that is good for people. We enjoy seeing our guests taken care of, having a relaxing or exhilarating break while experiencing an authentic farm stay.

Property info

Welcome to La Virginia Farms (LVF)! At our organic farm, we grow a variety of tropical fruit trees, vegetables including salad greens, as well as culinary herbs. Guests will have access to a screened guest porch, the garden with its outdoor seating and hammocks, as well as a dining room serving farm-to-table breakfasts, snacks and light meals. We work with other farms in the area to provide guests, with fresh cow's milk, free-range chicken eggs and organic chicken to go with our own organic produce. Upon request, we can arrange a bonfire and grill around the garden hammocks. The evenings are peaceful and being surrounded by trees, the sound of nature embraces you. Being on a farm, some care must be exercised while exploring. Insect repellents are very useful and recommended while outdoors. Guests can request for a farm tour to see our nursery, vermi beds, growing beds and fields, and learn organic farming methods. We also arrange tours and transport for guests to points of interest in Palawan.

Neighborhood info

Sta Lourdes, where the farm is located, is one of the Barangays (towns) of Puerto Princesa City. It is a quiet barangay where one can see and experience the everyday life of the local community. The farm is back-dropped by the majestic Mt. Salakot, looking even more regal as you watch it at sunset! We are 20-25 minutes from the Puerto Princesa International Airport; 5 minutes to the jump off point for Honda Bay island hopping with its beautiful white-sand beaches; and 15 minutes to the Iwahig River Firefly Watching Tour. The Crocodile Farm is 7 minutes away, and the terminal for shuttle vans going to Port Barton, San Vicente, El Nido (North) or Narra, Brooke's Point, Rizal (South) is 15 minutes away, all by transport. Robinsons Mall for groceries and shopping is a 15-minute ride from the farm.
