Property info

We started Smetek with just 6 apartments in 2001 . We decided to make our rooms big and cosy so guests could feel at home and enjoy the beautiful views from the balconies. Since then we have added 10 new apartaments not all with a view but hopefully tastefully and thoughtfully decorated and equipped. Each apartment is a little different and many guests have their favourites. We do our best to accomodate their wishes.

Neighborhood info

Elk is a charming small town situated on the shores of a picturesque lake. As the central hub of the region, its prime location makes it an ideal base for a week-long exploration of Masuria, a weekend spent leisurely walking or cycling around the nearby lakes and forests, or even a one-night stopover to recharge before continuing your journey north or south. The convenient accessibility—just off the newly constructed S16 motorway—makes it perfect for all travelers. During the summer months, the town comes alive with a variety of activities, including a Latin Dance weekend, a Hot Air Balloon weekend, Jet Ski Championships, and numerous other sporting and water-based events. Every Sunday throughout the year, a vibrant farmers market showcases local products from the area, as well as offerings from Lithuania, which is only an hour's drive away. Having lived in Elk since 2001, we can genuinely say that after years of traveling the world, we always look forward to returning home.
