It’s a paradise for families with children any age. We travel as a couple without children. Only swimming pool was overcrowded, full of happy children. The restaurant and the bar are great, foot and drinks. Breakfast is very good, big space with many tables. Variety of food is also amazing. Go to SPA, absolutely relaxing. The team of the hotel does their job great. Go there and enjoy!

Breakfast Lunch and Dinner were all buffets, I really liked that because I am very picky with food and picking what I could eat daily was nice, the food was good. Beautiful views, outer buildings and apartments looked nice. In the main building there's a working elevator between floor 0 and 3. People on reception seemed friendly.

Perfect opportunities for water activities - it is possible to rent a lot of "water toys" and spend beautiful day on the lake.

A great place by the lake with beautiful nature. There is plenty to do. Along the lake there is a large promenade with many cafés and restaurants. There are many small shops, shows and music. Boats are available for rent.

I visited Olsztyn to see a friend who lives there, and believe me, it's well worth seeing.
More than enough to see and do, and unlike the major hubs like Krakow or Wroclaw, it's still not overly commercialised.
Fantastic architecture, awesome history, excellent value for money.
Definitely one to tick off the list if, like myself you love Poland.

Giżycko is a nice small town with low-rise buildings and a picturesque views on the lake. Marina is small, but you can find there something that suits your taste: sailing or motor boat trip, walking or souvenir shopping, enjoying some local food together with a soothing view. For a lunch try local places called 'smażalnie ryb' with some freshwater fish specialities, but don't expect much)). Fort Boyen, Water Tower and the Swing Bridge are worth seeing! However, you may also spend all you time at MEDI.Spa in the St.Bruno hotel, especially in cold days.

Lovely place to stay.
Lovely place to stay. Small city without that rushed feeling. I stayed in area of old town. If you like history goes see tge Archeological and history museum.
Good food in local restaurants. Taste of home cooking.
Close by to buses and trains if you want to visit other towns nearby.
Very happy with my stay and Hotel.

Small city on the lake Czos.
Small city on the lake Czos. Has everything for the good rest: lakes, promenade, historical buildings, museum, cafes and restaurants, shops and supermarkets, renting of the sports equipment. So connecting comfort of the city with the nature. Moreover, it is placed more or less in the center of Mazury, so you can reach most of the famous sites in one hour.

Elk is a very nice town to visit and walk around, a trip to the waterfront on the lake during the summer months is a must! It has a beautiful view but an abundance of bars on the waterfront also. Most of the bartenders and serving staff speak decent English, to get thru the language barrier for you to order a drink or food. I would recommend carrying local currency to pay for things instead of using your cards everywhere.

Would appeal to anyone interested in water sports e.g. sailing, rowing, wind surfing etc.
Very easy to reach by train since ints on the main line between Gdansk and Warsaw. Trains run every hour and very reasonable priced.

I went on four lake trips in 24 hours. The lakes are magical. The Lutheran church and museum are worth a visit. For fish lovers this place is heaven. I ate burbot and pike-perch, but there are lots of other options.

Olsztyn is a small town and for a winter visit there is not much to do. However, probably in summer one can visit the nearby lakes. I also visited Gietrzwald sanctuary. The old city centre is cute. The waiters and people there are kind.
