Sowia Brda is a year-round holiday home in Rzeczka, in the heart of the Owl Mountains (Góry Sowie, Lower Silesia). The entire 100 m² house is yours alone — no shared walls, no other guests, just privacy and the quiet of the mountains. Sleeps up to 6 guests: two comfortable bedrooms with double beds (one can be converted into two single beds), a spacious living room with a mezzanine and a sofa bed, and a fully equipped kitchen. You'll also find a large bathroom, Smart TV, fast Wi-Fi and a coffee machine. Fresh bed linen and towels are included, and all beds are made up before your arrival. The star attraction is Wielka Sowa (1,015 m) — the highest peak of the Owl Mountains, topped with a historic stone observation tower offering views as far as the Karkonosze Mountains and Mount Ślęża on a clear day. The trailhead is practically on your doorstep. History enthusiasts are drawn to the mysterious WWII-era Riese complex: the Osówka Underground City and the Walim Tunnels in the neighbouring village — among the most intriguing underground tourist routes in Poland, open all year round. A short drive away you'll find the medieval Grodno Castle in Zagórze Śląskie, picturesquely set above Bystrzyckie Lake. The lake itself is perfect for a walk across the dam, a boat cruise or kayaking in summer. A little further afield are Książ Castle in Wałbrzych — one of the largest castles in Poland — and the charming town of Świdnica with its UNESCO-listed Church of Peace.
