This is a colonial house built in the late 1800s, located in one of the few quiet and residential streets of Old San Juan. It's a neighborhood with nearby coffee shops, restaurantes, historic sites and cultural gatherings. We live on the first floor of the building (on Sol St.), and on the second floor there are two remodeled cozy apartments for short-term rental; each with 1 bedroom / 1 bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and living room with futon bed (for an extra guest). Both have high ceilings, fans, and A/C (in the bedroom and the living room). Each apartment is completely independent, very cozy and quiet, with lots of daylight. Hi-speed internet (optic fiber). Storm proof! Kitchen equipped, gas stove and large refrigerator. Solar panels and two backup batteries, no worries about power outages! Water cistern on roof. These tropical apartments are located in an amazing neighborhood of Old San Juan, perfect for a sole traveler or two guests. Walking distance to everywhere in OSJ. Blue Balcones has balconies with street view, and the bedroom in the back for a good quiet night sleep. TV included. La Terraza has a view and access to a big terrace from the master bedroom, perfect for sunbathing or relaxing. It's a very quiet area, it faces the back of the building with rooftop views of Old San Juan and a big tree. The terrace is decorated with a variety of plants, and two adirondacks chairs. No TV. You will love your stay!

For 500 years, the so-called walled city of Old San Juan has been enchanting its visitors with impressive fortifications, towering walls, open plazas, hidden patios, and cobblestone streets that will make you feel as if you've traveled back in time. Look for the blue doors! Our entrance is located on Sol St. next to some lovely tropical plants that enhance our colonial facade. You'll see a keypad on your left side, and the logo of Caribe Rentals carved on a small wood panel. Make sure to enter the code and push the right door. Once in, go up the stairs: Blue Balcones is the apartment to the right. (All codes will be sent to you before your arrival date). If you are renting a car there is street parking and parking garages available. Some streets are reserved for local residents after 6 PM and on week-ends - look out for the signs! Our rentals: - Quiet residential street. - Very close to the ocean and to all the historic sites. - Solar powered, by 17 solar panels on the rooftop + battery backups, guarantee us power in any eventual power outage. - A large cistern on the rooftop guarantees water in any eventuality! - We are equipped for hurricane season!
