Welcome to my on-going project, building an ecolodge farm from ruins and dreams 🌻
At the moment there are 2 houses complete. I live in one and rent the other one which is the one listed. I plan to rebuild the ruins around bit by bit, in order to revitalise this charming little village that I now call home and am so proud of.
I’m Portuguese but have lived abroad for many years and came back to start a big little dream of mine of turning my passion for hosting into a business, in a rural setting, respecting and appreciating tradition.
I named the property Quinta da Cachopa, “cachopa” is an endearing term for farm-girl, and even thought I am a city girl I aspire to be one with every new skill I learn.
The property is integrated in a small tradicional village in the countryside, 10 minutes by car from Tomar’s city center.
There are plenty of river beaches closeby and hiking trails which I can recommend.
