My name is Lucy and I am your host at Amrita Shala. I am a Nutritional Therapist and Yoga teacher. During my yoga training my passion developed for using food as medicine. Practising and teaching yoga awakened my instinct which naturally progressed in the realisation that nature provides everything we need to keep us in optimal health. Amrita Shala cabin lodge is a slice of paradise, a perfect base to discover the wild and wonderful Sintra region. The converted stables are now 12 stylishly designed cosy rustic cabins, all with their own private bathroom and outside patio space overlooking the garden. Our communal kitchen is equipped with everything you need if you prefer to dine in. We are located only 600 metres from the famous surf beaches, Praia Grande & Praia Pequena, easily accessible via a coastal path from the property. Our unique property has a wonderful energy reinforced by the love and care put into the space, which we know you will feel and appreciate. We provide a yoga mat in each cabin for you to use and enjoy inside as well as outside, in the beautiful garden space surrounded by the peace and tranquility sounds of nature. The garden offers space to unwind and absorb the magical healing energy of Sintra. Our communal kitchen is equipped with everything you need and offers guests the opportunity to prepare their own food if they do not want to eat out. It also allows you to cook and enjoy fresh produce from the local market.
