Located just 3 minutes away from Tomar city centre, Casa do Alambique is an accommodation unit in the countryside, in a very quiet area, so that you may benefit from the countryside silence and gain forces to discover a city full of history and cultural events. Located in a small farm where the owner also lives, the studio is fully independent, so that guests may enjoy privacy. Casa do Alambique is a wide and confortable studio with accommodation for a maximum of 3 people, in a double bed and a single bed. The studio has a small kitchenette, suitable only for light meals, as it has no oven or extractor fan. You are welcome to bring one small/medium pet, subject to prior communication, in order to previoulsy accept house rules with regard pets. Pets are not allowed to stay alone inside the house without supervision.
Joaquim has born in Tomar and lived there during his childhood and until he left to Lisbon to study and live. When he retired, he decided to renovate the house where he lived with his parents and enjoy the benefits of living in the countryside. His older daughter, Cláudia, although born and living in Lisbon, supported her father's decision and suggested to create a guesthouse to receive guests that wish to discover the fantastic city of Tomar and the natural beauty surrounding the city. They are the team who will be pleased to receive you and your family.
A few kms from Casa do Alambique there are plenty of fluvial beaches and nice small villages along the river, with beautifull landscapes. Also, Nazaré is not far away from the studio and you can choose to have a day in the beach or enjoy the exquisite fish cooking in these fish village restaurants or even watch the big waves so typical of Nazaré. The city of Fátima is also a possible place to visit if you stay at Casa do Alambique. And of course, Tomar is a city full of charming gardens and historic buildings, that cannot be missed.
