Casa do Lado - Tourism with Character is surrounded by green vegetation of Sintra, with beautiful views to the mountain, the Pena Palace and the Moorish Castle. At the same time is only 15 minutes walk from the village center. The house has an independent apartment where a housekeeper lives, who can assist in case of need.
We love to travel, meet new people and different cultures. We love Portugal and love when people are happy here. Filipe has eversince spent his summer vacations in this family house and now we want to share it you !
Sintra is the most romantic village in Portugal; there are so many things to see, visit and to do; besides the environment, you can visit beautiful monuments (Palácio Pena, Palácio Vila, Quinta da Regaleira, Palácio Monserrate, Castelo dos Mouros, Convento dos Capuchos, Convento de Mafra); you can walk or cicle in the various parks; you can attend several cultural events (music at Palácio da Pena, expositions at Centro Olga Cadaval); you have several beaches nearby where you can practise ocean sports (Praia das Maças, Praia Grande, Guincho, Praia da Adraga, Ericeira); you have a golf course at Quinta da Beloura, horse riding, tennis courts; and of course lovely food (Restaurante Cantinho S Pedro), fish (Azenhas do Mar), famous sweets Travesseiros at Piriquita or Casa do Preto, Queijadas at Sapa e Pastel Nata at Gregório
