Casa do Porto Carreiro is a fully private holiday home in Ossela, less than one hour from Porto and Aveiro. The entire house is reserved exclusively for your group — no shared spaces, no other guests. The house sleeps up to 5 guests across two comfortable bedrooms, with a well-equipped kitchen, a cosy living and dining room with a pellet stove, air conditioning, and fibre Wi-Fi. The kitchen includes a ceramic hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, and a Dolce Gusto coffee machine — everything you need to feel at home. Outside, you'll find a furnished covered deck, a fully fenced garden of around 250 m², a barbecue, an outdoor shower, and free private parking. A great space for families, pets and long summer evenings. The house is pet-friendly, has a washer and dryer, cable TV with over 100 channels, streaming platforms and a dedicated workspace — making it equally suited for a relaxing family break or a longer, more independent stay. Nature and riverside walking trails are just 200 metres away, while Porto, Aveiro, the Paiva Walkways and Serra da Freita are all within easy reach. Self check-in is available. Casa do Porto Carreiro is located in Ossela, a quiet village near Oliveira de Azeméis, surrounded by nature and just a short walk from riverside trails and rolling green hills. It's the kind of place where the pace slows down naturally — and that's exactly the point. Despite its peaceful setting, the house is remarkably well connected. Porto is around 50 km away, Aveiro about 40 km, and both cities are easy to reach for a day trip. The region is also an excellent base for exploring some of northern Portugal's most scenic attractions: Nature & outdoor activities: The Paiva Walkways (Passadiços do Paiva), one of Portugal's most spectacular riverside trails, are within easy reach. Serra da Freita and the Arouca Geopark are also nearby, perfect for hiking and nature walks. Culture & heritage: Santa Maria da Feira Castle, one of the best-preserved medieval castles in Portugal, is just a short drive away. The Douro Valley wine region is also within comfortable distance for a half-day excursion. Cities: Porto offers world-class food, wine, architecture and culture. Aveiro, known as the "Venice of Portugal" for its canals and colourful boats, is equally worth a visit. Back at the house, riverside walking trails start just 200 metres away — ideal for an easy morning walk before breakfast.
