Casa dos Macieis is a 5.5-hectare estate with coats of arms from the Pereiras and the Macieis, where guests have the option to engage in agritourism (donkey and sheep farm with vineyards), located in Facha, Ponte de Lima, alongside and with direct access to Santiago’s Way, completely renovated and periodically restored, as recently as in 2025. Composed of the main house, a guesthouse, outdoor swimming pool, front garden, lawn with millennial olive trees, kitchen garden with greenhouse, fruit trees and traditional washing tank, farm with organic production, including an orchard, vineyards (Loureiro cast), donkey, sheep, chicken, duck and dog breeding, woods, a small creek that traverses the property, and natural springs. The main house, with code of arms from the Pereira’s, possibly built in 1648 for a family member of Nuno Álvares Pereira, has an area of approximately 1 500 m2, 2 kitchens, 6 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, two large contiguous social rooms, including a meeting or dining room seating 22 people, 2 smaller living rooms and 3 fireplaces. The Casa do Caseiro guesthouse is autonomous, with kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room.

Casa dos Macieis is right alongside Santiago Way, with direct access from its gates to pilgrims. Facha is a quiet village with Paleolithic settlements, 7 km from Ponte de Lima (the oldest village in Portugal), approximately 20 km from the fantastic beach of Cabedelo, in Darque, Viana do Castelo, a preferred surfing destination, and 25 km or so from the stunning small town of Viana do Castelo, at some point classified by National Geographic as one of the most beautiful places on Earth, in particular the view from the top of the mountain of Santa Luzia, and approximately 20 km from the Geres National Park, a natural landmark ideal for hiking and canoeing.
