Welcome ! We are a young and sporty Belgian family living at the resort with our two sons. Visiting Portugal six years ago, made us fall in love with all aspects the country has to offer. Coming from a hospitality and sport background we feel very comfortable offering active services to our guests. Healthy food, love for fauna and flora and active lifestyle all make part of our life goals. At Casa Flor de Sal we aim to create a perfect blend between relaxing, discovering and enjoying. Casa Flor de Sal is located in sub-tropical, unspoiled East Algarve, on the edge of the Ria Formosa Natural Park, where wild herbs scent the air, chameleons relax, storks nest and flamingos fly by. The property is an 18th-century 2.8 hectare old farm that has 8 quality self-catering rental cottages, a fresh water lake and 2 swimming pools, play areas, badminton & volley court, a convenience shop, organic produce and very large gardens. The holiday villas are generously proportioned and equipped with all modern comforts, have sea views, private roof terraces and patios with outdoor dining facilities and BBQ. You can explore the area using our bikes, go kayaking in the lagoon right in front of the property or to your own private sandy beach. After dark, you can often admire the impressively clear night sky and the Milky Way. Nearby you can taste the local food or explore historic villages and towns.

Casa Flor de Sal is located in the heart of unspoiled eastern Algarve, 5 min. from the fishing villages of Fuseta and Olhão, and 20 min. from the historic town of Tavira and (in the other direction), Faro and the international airport. Just outside our property is the Ria Formosa Natural Park, a large area of tidal lagoons protected by a spectacular 60 km long system of sandy islands called Deserta, Culatra, Armona and Tavira. This area is very rich in bird life being the crossing point for birds traveling between Africa and Europe. There is so much to see and do in the neighbourhood: the wonderful sandy beaches, the water sports and the wildlife of the nature park are close at hand. All the towns and villages offer something different and worth exploring. Olhão, Fuseta, Tavira and Faro, are all special places to visit whether you want to head to the markets, take a stroll by the waterfront, do some shopping, taste the local food, or just sit with a beer or coffee and watch the world pass by. This area is welcoming all year round: with an annual sunshine record of over 3000 hours, the Algarve is sunnier than the Costa Brava, Mallorca or the French Riviera.
