Inside, the original stone walls provide a cozy, historic atmosphere, keeping the space cool and serene. The property's crown jewel is its panoramic view over the Atlantic Ocean and the village of Ribeira Brava, perfect for relaxing at sunset. The villa is divided into two independent floors. The guest accommodation is located on a fully private floor with its own entrance and total autonomy. The other floor is occupied by long-term local residents (tenants), ensuring a quiet, safe, and genuinely Madeiran atmosphere. Although there is a wooden door connecting the floors (a structural detail reserved for potential future use or sale), it is completely sealed and locked: tenants do not have a key, and it is fully covered by a wardrobe on their side, guaranteeing total privacy and security for your stay. As this is a traditional construction where the original structure has been preserved, sound insulation between floors is not complete; therefore, everyone in the house observes a quiet period starting at midnight (or 1:00 AM) to ensure everyone's rest. Free parking is available on the public road next to the property. We kindly ask that the garage ramp be kept clear at all times, as it is for the exclusive use of the permanent residents.

This house is the result of many years of hard work and dedication. I did almost the entire renovation myself, with my own hands. Living in Ribeira Brava means being in the heart of Madeira. What my guests love most is the sun (which almost always shines here) and how easy it is to get anywhere on the island. The village is just down the road, with its ancient church and the promenade for seaside walks. For dining, I recommend the local restaurants in the village serving fresh fish and regional 'espetada'. If you enjoy hiking, we are close to several 'levadas' and just a few minutes' drive from Serra de Água, which has incredible mountain scenery. It is the perfect spot for those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of Funchal while staying close to everything
