Leaving our house all the paths lead to the fascinating beauty of an island marked by a direct relationship with Nature. Flores Island is the sixth island of the archipelago on the surface, with about 143 km2 and maximum altitude of 914 meters in the Morro Alto, UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. The island presents a vigorous relief, from where several volcanic apparatuses are projected. In the zone of the central plateau a group of boilers or lagoons, old craters with water accumulated in its interior, is in this place that we can find the biggest wooded bury of the North Atlantic. The island's coastline has high cliffs and displays a vigorous cut, complemented caves and numerous islanders located in close proximity to the coast, important nesting sites for seabird species. The whole of Fajãzinha and Fajã Grande, is bounded by an imposing escarpment, marked by large waterfalls (cascades), such as Ribeira Grande, Ribeira do Ferreiro Well and Poço do Bacalhau, places not to be missed. The Rocha dos Bordões, with its rare large prismatic structure, is a landscaped emblem of the island and the archipelago is classified as Natural Monument. Sorry for my English
