The Casarão do Largo da Eira is an imposing country house, recovered, having returned all the design, character and unique beauty of yesteryear. It is a family home and the hosts live on the first floor. Leaving Tomar and following the Estrada do Prado, skirting the bank of the Nabão River, you will arrive at the picturesque village of Pedreira, whose name derives from the fact that this is where some of the stones that helped to build the Convent of Christ (World Heritage) came from. worldwide) in Tomar. The Casarão itself, also built in stone, boasts imposing flagstones on its verandas, engraved with fossils of marine animals that support the thesis that the sea, in ancient times “has already passed through here”.
