My name is Jorge and I am co-owner and manager of the "Casas da Quinta da Cancela". My academic background consists of a degree in civil engineering and a master's degree in strategy and innovation management, which I used for 35 years in my professional life, connected to the business world. In 2015 I started to dedicate myself to the project Quinta da Cancela, whose rehabilitation, together with my wife, Grace, we ended in September. In January 2016 we started our activity with host tourism and production of green wine. Grace, is the owner of the Quinta da Cancela houses, has a degree in languages and literature and master in teaching of Portuguese Language and Literature, and recently finished his teacher career in public school.

Since the eighteenth century that the farm belongs to the same family. The owners have made recovery a memory exercise, to meet the time remains: with calm and passion. Every corner, every tree, has a story to tell...

Quinta da Cancela is located in a small town called Balugães. It is a peaceful place surrounded by nature. Despite this, Quinta da Cancelas it's also close to some emblematic cities, such as Barcelos, Ponte de Lima and Viana do Castelo.
